Ivor Ellul

A serial entrepreneur in the energy and technology industry, Ivor Ellul is the founder and chief executive officer of Knowledge Reservoir. The Houston-based consulting firm specializes in reservoir management, real time systems, knowledge management, production solutions, and pipeline and process engineering. In addition to his current position, Ivor Ellul serves as a visiting professor at Imperial College in London. He teaches master’s level courses in petroleum pipeline and process engineering. As a trusted expert in the field, he has also served on a number of boards, including Energy Venture’s advisory board and the University of Houston’s petroleum engineering advisory board.

Originally from Malta, Ivor Ellul earned a bachelor of science in mechanical engineering from the University of Malta in 1980. After working as a process engineer in West Germany, he enrolled in the master’s program in petroleum engineering at Imperial College London. He returned to the college to complete a doctor of philosophy in petroleum engineering. Research he conducted during his PhD candidacy, on the flow of multiphase fluids in pipelines, was published in journals such as The Chemical Engineer and Pipes and Pipelines International.
